Welcome to Fortissimo Academy of Music, where as our name suggests, we help to nurture and develop the strongest of musicians.
Our Academy is made up of a hand-picked network of outstanding musicians who are, most importantly, incredibly passionate teachers. Their expertise, experience and love of music is what makes our Academy stand out amongst the crowd. Students of the Academy regularly receive the highest of results in their Graded exams, GCSEs, A-Levels, as well as music scholarships to brilliant schools, universities and prizes in competitions and music festivals.
Joining the Academy will pair each student with a perfectly suited teacher, who will help them achieve their potential by broadening all aspects of their musicality: from technique, posture, music theory, aural training and body movement, to developing their own musical style. All of this is carried out with a positive, fun, nurturing and encouraging approach to learning that nevertheless has all of the necessary rigour for professional development, for those who wish to go further with their musical studies. We consider all of our pupils as equally important, regardless of their age, level or ability, and our teachers tailor their methods to individually target each one. We provide teachers for students of all ages and abilities.
Lessons take place either at teachers' homes across different areas of London and Greater London, or at student's homes - provided that they have a suitable instrument for lessons.
As well as providing individual music lessons, the Academy provides individual and group lessons for Aural Tests, Music Theory and Chamber Music. Mock auditions and practice ABRSM exams are also available. Masterclasses with renowned musicians, as well as a yearly concert are available for selected students who are well prepared and ready to perform. At Fortissimo Academy of Music, we understand the great power that music has to change lives - it can enhance our emotional, intellectual, social, cultural and spiritual sides, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. This is especially important for young and developing minds, not only for the above reasons, but also for the valuable life lessons learnt by playing an instrument to a high level - discipline, time management and higher cognitive function, as proved by multiple studies.
